Accountant

OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for executing the strategic and operational requirements of the Finance department. In addition to these duties, you will also be an active member of the Administration Team, supporting Human Resources, Operation and Finance initiatives. Excellent PC and system skills, including advanced Excel capabilities, are mandatory. A university degree in business is required. Enrolment in CPA Canada program is preferred. Prior Agency experience is preferred.

As the Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in executing the strategic and operational requirements of the Finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and manage client budget control reports (BCRs) and meetings
  • Execute A/R and act as a backup for A/P functions
  • Assist in management of timesheet process
  • Enforcement of internal controls regarding expense and docket approvals
  • Assist in docket management and maintenance
  • Preparation and integrity of all supporting financial schedules, including fixed assets, prepaid, bank reconciliations, etc.
  • Preparation and entry of journal entries
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Prepare and file monthly HST and federal tax
  • Assist in ERP system management and maintenance
  • Provide administrative support when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrollment in CPA Canada program preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • Prior Agency experience preferred
  • University degree in business
  • Excellent PC and system skills, including advanced Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • High standard of integrity and quality
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Senior Account Executive

OVERVIEW

The Senior Account Executive manages and directs the day-to-day Agency efforts on behalf of the Client on the account(s) assigned. As such the Senior Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Account Executives. They manage the Client/Agency relationship on a day-to-day basis; ensures the Agency consistently delivers a superior product and, also provides sound and responsible counselling and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the Client’s business and industry/marketplace in order to anticipate the 
    Client’s advertising and marketing needs to help grow the Client/Agency business
  • Works with the Account Supervisor to lead in strategy and program development
  • Co‐ordinates the execution of, and/or analyses pertinent research
  • Develops and executes sound and relevant (direct/channel) marketing strategies in support of the Client’s business objectives
  • Initiates and leads status meetings
  • Reviews all production work at critical stages to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Responsible for ensuring all activities are executed according to the established budget and 
    quality guidelines
  • Briefs various departments on new projects
  • Helps streamline production process
  • Acts as Client’s internal representative and advocate
  • Supervises the output of the Account Executive and Coordinators
  • Manages the daily workload of staff
  • Ensures the necessary people are informed of client requests
  • Helps supervise and support the career development of the subordinate staff

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in a client service role in an agency with a focus on

Account Supervisor

OVERVIEW

As the Account Supervisor on the business, you will lead and manage agency resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and advertising, so that all client needs are met on time and on budget. This position also requires you to assist in developing short- and long-term communication strategies for the client.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all projects are executed to plan by proactively managing the internal team, agency resources and workflow process
  • Under the supervision of the Account Director, you will provide clients with innovative short- and long-term strategic targeting/direct response guidance
  • Fully understand the client’s business and maintain current industry knowledge
  • Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all clients
  • Keep Account Director informed of account activities
  • Take an active role in building the client business, generating new strategies and anticipating direct marketing needs
  • Assist in building and championing integration of the client’s business across partner agencies (media)

Intermediate Software Developer

OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an Intermediate Software developer to provide support for ongoing projects with our digital clients. Working closely with our Technical Lead and Project Managers, you will be responsible for developing and modifying websites and content, from function to layout, while ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

The ideal individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will leverage your strong development skills working with HTML 5, CSS, and JS to:

  • Develop responsive websites in various technical stacks including PHP, Nodejs, MySQL
  • Code sites from provided design concepts by using best HTML/CSS practices
  • Perform routine daily maintenance of existing sites and applications
  • Communicate project status and deliverables to Project Managers and Technical Lead
  • Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ Experience developing cross browser responsive web sites
  • Working knowledge of Restful APIs and MySQL.
  • Bachelor’s of Computer Science Degree or similar.
  • A solid understanding of web development best practices and coding standards
  • Familiarity with GIT and Subversion
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
