Position Overview

We’re looking for an energetic person with a combination of superior analytical skills, great attention to detail and strong communication skills to join the team as a Director of Customer Insights & Analytics. This role reports to the VP, Strategy and Planning and involves frequent interaction with all levels of management, clients, and outside suppliers and contractors – so the ideal candidate has the right balance of analytic capabilities, confidence, and business acumen. The ideal candidate is also a team player that believes strongly in continuous improvement, innovative solutions, and strives to achieve/maintain best in class programs for our clients and our teams.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of program design and execution, and work collaboratively with other teams across BIMM to support our clients’ businesses through a balanced focus on finding, keeping and maximizing customers.
  • More specifically, develop, manage and provide:
    • The technical expertise to lead the department with analysis of large and complicated datasets, product metrics, programming and databases, probability, experimentation and inference, data reporting, and modeling.
    • Build and drive a high performing, highly engaged team while leading and growing top talent
    • Recommend and help implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the generation of reports and campaign analytical solutions.
  • Serve as the key member of the BIMM Customer Insights team to help drive our client’s strategy and priorities and deliver annual plan objectives.

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills including the ability to quantify and analyze datasets.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; presence to engage, present to and challenge senior leaders, communicate ideas & sell programs, and influence “big picture” strategy
  • Excellent organization and planning skills; facility in managing a large number of tasks and projects to help the team execute campaigns flawlessly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • An ability to relate technical issues to non-technical people, listen, understand, and to respond both appropriately and effectively
  • A track record of building and leading strong teams and developing cross-functional relationships
  • High aptitude for understanding both data and information systems technologies.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills, a bias for action and strong customer orientation

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • 8+ years of professional experience with progressive experience in data science and business management positions.
  • Experience at the director level an asset
  • Strong track record in managing people and delivering on team objectives
  • University degree in business, finance, economics, statistics/math, marketing or a related area
  • Advanced MS Office capabilities especially MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and query language (i.e. SQL).
  • Knowledge of statistical software (i.e. SPSS, SAS, Python or R).
  • S/he has a strong understanding of digital measurement platforms, specifically:
    • Google Analytics,
    • Omniture Site Catalyst,
    • Facebook Insights

Position Overview

We’re looking for an energetic person with superior analytical abilities, great attention to detail and strong communication skills to join our growing team as a Digital Analyst.

This role reports to the Director of Customer Insights and involves frequent interaction with all levels of management, clients, and outside suppliers. The ideal candidate will display the perfect balance of analytic capabilities, confidence, and business acumen.


Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert for all things digital on a clients’ business
  • Be the point of contact internally for all inquiries relating to a clients’ properties
  • Make recommendations and help implement process improvements with the ultimate goals of driving clients results
  • Provide technical expertise on the development, analysis and interpretation of marketing data and reports
  • Develop new data visualizations that help lay people understand the insights in the data
  • Develop new tagging strategies to meet client needs
  • Be the first person that notices when something is unusual with the clients’ digital properties
  • Analyze ‘offline’ data in isolation or in conjunction with data obtained from digital sources

Qualifications

  • Deep experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics (both is preferred)
  • Experience in building tagging solutions with Google Tag Manager
  • Advanced MS Office capabilities, most importantly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with front end web development fundamentals (experience with HTML, JS, CSS preferred)
  • Experience with tracking on mobile platforms: Adobe Mobile Services or Google Firebase (both preferred)

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node + React)

BIMM is an agency solving complex digital experience challenges for clients in Canada and across the globe.

WHO YOU ARE

You can rock modern tools and frameworks but can code up a web app from scratch using only HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla JS (you probably won’t have to but you could do it to prove the point). Code is beautiful even if it’s beautifully hidden in the backend. You are a team player who can fly solo when needed. You won’t be asked to untar a file without Googling but you could comfortably live in the command line.

EXPERIENCE

    • React/NextJS: you’ve developed pixel-perfect responsive UIs and web apps.
    • Node: you’ve developed robust and scalable application standing the test of time.
    • SQL or NoSQL is not the question. You know when to use which.
    • You live by writing unit tests before code (most of the time, we understand)
    • You use Git for more than just clone, commit and push.
    • CI is not an acronym but a lifestyle.

Senior Frontend Engineer

EXPERIENCE

Must have:

    • Knowledge of best practices building a clean codebase. eg. file maintenance, component structure
    • Always have motivation to learn and be on the forefront of current technology standards and practices
    • Strong knowledge of fundamentals of javascript without a framework
    • Has worked extensively with one or many of the top Javascript frameworks or libraries. ie. React, Vue, Angular
    • Strong knowledge of CSS
    • Comfortable with the command line and git utilities 
    • Experience with seeing large projects from inception to completion
  • Familiarity with working with many different CMS integrations and building out clean content structures

QA Engineer

Bimm is a quality-obsessed agency solving complex digital experience challenges for clients in Canada and across the globe. 

WHO YOU ARE

You’re an engineer at heart who will spearhead manual and automated testing (80/20), including test validation of QA tickets and feature development against specifications. You will collaborate with our Senior QA Lead, including day-to-day time allocation, test strategy, and mentorship. Likewise, you will work closely with developers, project managers, and client services teams.

YOUR DAY

    • work across cross-functional teams and client to define and execute test plans
    • manual testing including visual UI and copy
    • test sites and applications for functional, cross-browser, performance and usability defects
    • assist with the creation of both automated and manual test cases as new features are being developed 
    • document issues and suggest improvements on features and processes
  • identify opportunities for innovation and client value-add

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 yrs proven manual testing experience (web, mobile)
    • Working experience using defect tracking systems (JIRA).

Senior Backend Engineer

BIMM is an agency solving software engineering challenges for clients in Canada and across the globe.

WHO YOU ARE

You can rock modern tools and frameworks but can code up an application from scratch and spin up a cloud infrastructure to host it. You are a team player who can fly solo when needed. You won’t be asked to untar a file without Googling but you could comfortably live in the command line.

EXPERIENCE

Must have:

    • Knowledge of best practices and writing Clean Code
    • Working knowledge with server-side frameworks and languages and DevOps technologies (e.g. NodeJS, PHP, Apache, NginX, k8s etc.)
    • Comfortable in the command line (e.g. Linux, Windows, or Mac)
    • Builds a prototype and is able to take it to production (kind of mindset)
  • Use a variety of tools to perform unit testing, automated builds, and source control

  • Responsible for the execution of all assigned work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Produce design layouts with minimum guidance from Creative/Design.
  • Prioritize work to accommodate deadlines.
  • Manage and maintain high level of responsiveness and flexibility to accommodate
    internal client requests and changing circumstances.
  • Prepress computer files for transmission to publications and/or clients.
  • Be able to prepare mockups and mount boards.
  • Contribute toward the development of Creative Services team, as an industry leader

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Sketch, Adobe XD,
    Invision and After effects are all bonuses.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Power Point will be an asset.
  • Experience using master creative and independently create digital tactics for online/social.
  • Experience ensuring designs are on brand.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Agency experience experience
